Your parents just didn’t like onion. Onions are great in potato salad. Try
    it. :)

I don’t know what it is about this video…If it’s those lovely warm brown
hands working with care on those ingredients; someone’s thoughtful
grandmother/mother/sister, with the carefully thought about music in the
background, or if it’s the food itself. But I absolutely enjoyed the
nostalgic feeling it gave me of being in the kitchen when I was younger
trying to mimic my mother. I feel like I need to be in the kitchen with you
picking out pieces of potato with my fingers. Thank you so much!

The person doing the cooking is from Florida. Currently lives in TX. Your
way of cooking potato salad isn’t more authentic just because you’re from a
different part of the South. There are so many different ways to prepare
potato salad. I’m sure your recipe is delicious. Ours is too. Feel free to
leave out the onions if that bothers you so much. Thanks for watching!
